The prices are slightly higher than average but this place is great in a pinch. When buying a new motherboard and processor I was taken care of quite nicely. They even flashed the BIOS for me to make sure I didn't have to jump through many hoops to get my rig set up. I highly recommend.

It's a brick and mortar, the prices are going to be a bit higher. If you need IT equipment in a hurry, chances are they've got it. Their customer service reps have always bent over backwards to help, unlike at some other computer stores in the area. Our company moved to the area a few years ago. Altex was right down the street, and we found all the incidentals we needed at fair prices. Worth your time to check it out if you're in the area.

Great place for connectors, components, and cables. Prices are a bit high on name brands, but decent on generic. Staff is helpful 👍

When you realize that the big box and office retailers are abandoning the desktop computing market, stop wasting any more time and come to Altex. This is, and always has been, a computer store. They have a serious line of very capable desktop computers for your budget and needs, or they have all the parts and components to build a custom system from the inside out. Their ready-to-go units are not pre-loaded with useless junk and advertising either.

Grew up with Altex, and was pleased to find one in the D/FW area. They have a far better selection of adapters and peripherals than most other computer/electronics/video places.
