A great blend of luxury and comfort in a beautiful and intimate setting.  Friendly service as with all kimpton hotels, very nice pool area and dining.  Rooms were also great.  The gym left something to be desired but was perfectly adequate....just a few things to use.  I wouldn't have bothered with a gym if I didn't have little kids anyway. A great place!

Great hotel with strong attention to detail. Many unique events, from a complimentary happy hour to a morning coffee bar. Nice hot tub with world-class views, especially at sunrise. I expect more for what I paid.  Service was great but the rooms are in need of an update.  The bathroom orientation (sink size and lighting) was ridiculous.  It is very conveniently located, once you walk up the steep hill.  Also some rooms (ours) are a real hall from the lobby, including stairs and doors as you move between buildings.   I would have been happy for 1/2 the price.

Had the nicest time at the resort. The staff is so incredibly helpful and kind and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I came with my boyfriend for his birthday and they made it so special for him (they gave him a birthday card at dinner that had been signed personally by the staff that day). We even booked a massage at the spa there and that was also amazing. The therapists were great anf they gave us a toast at the end to celebrate his birthday as well. All around amazing trip, will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.

Thought for the price it would have been an above average facility.  Room was missing hand towels one day, area around the outdoor fireplaces had dirty dishes and glasses several nights with no service, one set of sheets had some dirt....all of these are easy fixes to improve service level.  Good food but why have the same soup for five days.  Again, I expected better for the price.
