Great theater.  As a AMC stubs member you get a free large popcorn and soda during the month of your birthday.   Also  $5 movies on Tuesdays.  The place is always clean and staff are friendly.   Parking is plentiful and the lot is patrolled by Southdale security.

Picking your seat ahead of time is the best possible feature added to this theater. Highly recommend you do so if you plan to see a movie in advance.

Great screens at the theater. Remodeling and upgrades are pretty frequent that make good improvements.
Clean bathrooms and floors. Can’t say the same for the movie theater headrest/seats, they are like all theaters: Never cleaned.

Popcorn is popcorn, sodas are meh. Real food items are semi-interesting.

I am not a big fan of the remodel. I hate having to reserve tickets when I buy them. I would rather find a good spot when I get into the theater. I also have found lines in the women's room that didn't seem to be much of a problem before. This is because they took out one bathroom in order to put in a bar.

UPDATE:
The theater was updated but the service was not. If you are a paying Stubs member, go to a different AMC theater as the employees seem to be unaware of Stubs benefits, the premiere line, or concession price upgrades. There was garbage everywhere and the place was not clean despite the addition of new signs and a Dolby theater. The seats here only recline part way unlike other AMC locations. 

The reason to go to a theater is for an experience. Unclean seating and theaters with the equivalent of Sour Bill working the concessions is not ideal. The only reason I had to interact with Sour Bill was because this location does not yet offer “order to your seat” service. I won’t be back here anytime soon and I will tell my friends to go elsewhere.

Yesterday was our first visit since the remodel and overall it was not good. The pretzel bites  took too long, were cold and even soggy with little flavor. On our way to our seats there was vomit on the floor. The seats are very narrow and uncomfortable. The recline position is odd as it leaves you feeling like you're going to slide out of the seat. 
 It was difficult to enjoy the film due to these things. My wife and I agreed that we would not go back. I personally recommend the Marcus theatres. Shakopee is our go to especially after this experience.
