Let me preface this by saying I had come here after having dealt with another dealership that day that very much treated me as I've come to expect. That cheap way the salesman tries to butter you up and connect with you, down to glossing over important issues. They mainly talked to my Father, not me, despite the fact it was me buying the car. I was frustrated!

So when I got to Ames Ford/Lincoln I was expecting more of the same, but I was taken a back by how friendly the sales person was, Shawn. He got right to the point and even went so far as to drive us to their other dealership. When the car I had looked at online didn't meet what I needed, Shawn helped me find a vehicle that not only met my needs (a point A - B car that was reliable) he also found one within my price range. He never pressured us and his small talk was friendly and non intrusive. 

When I test drove the car, I noticed a slight hang up in the acceleration/deacceleration and the other person helping us, Craig, not only got it fixed but they went far out of their way to do so. For the kind of car we bought, (sold as is) we certainly didn't expect it. 

I never once felt cheated, swindled or pressured into anything. Shawn was so laid back it was like having a friend drive me out to look at a car. I couldn't ask for a better dealership and honestly I hope I get to deal with them again in (hopefully quite a few) years down the road for another vehicle. It's well worth the drive out there. 

My Father, who accompanied me throughout this adventure, is rarely impressed but we both walked away very happy.

Recently bought a car from Ames Ford Lincoln. Excellent customer service. They did everything they could helping me to get into a car, when all other dealerships wouldn't care. Will definitely buy from Ames Ford again in the future. Overall I had a great buying experience, great service and very good staff

Best customer service I have ever found in my 12 years of buying vehicles. Bill in service and Haans in the front office. Hands down know how to make a customer want to come back. 
Recommend Ames Ford for used and new purchases.

Peter Green helped me purchase my Ford Focus.  He was very helpful, thorough, professional, and nothing but courteous as he worked with me.  Buying a car is exciting but it is also a little bit scarey and a really big decision.  Peter helped me feel solid about my decision and afterward he went over every detail of the bells and whistles of the car.  Thanks for all your help Peter!

The staff was very polite. Not pushy. Never once felt like I was pressured to purchase my car. Found a nice used car at a good price. Paige was easy to work with, answered my questions, and made the experience very pleasant.
