This is my all time favorite coffee shop! They have the best cappuccinos I've ever had! And it's a nice place to get some work done. I always come here when I'm visiting

Amherst coffee is a small, locally owned coffee house in Amherst, MA. The drink menu is fairly short compared to most modern coffee houses. They had two coffee choices, a dark and a light. Their French roast (dark) was quite good; I don't try the light roast. Their espresso was average. They do make lattes, but don't have flavors. The baristas are quite nice. It was fairly crowded when we were there; we ended up sharing a table with another couple. I would recommend this place for a nice cup of coffee from a locally owned business.

Amherst Coffee is a superb place to meet up with friends, to do independent work, or to do anything in between. Its atmosphere, and recent expansion, facilitate an ambience equally amenable to getting coffee or a drink. As part of the Pioneer Valley chain (Northampton Coffee, Greenfield Coffee), its baristas + bartenders are well-trained, and the atmosphere is carefully cultivated. There's also a 2-hour time limit on wi-fi which, honestly, is beneficial for people doing work (focus!) and for those who aren't (in encouraging people to move tables)

Great coffee. Excellent bar. Hard to get a table with all the applesquatters. Definately not a PC place.
