Story

Established in 1986, The Black Sheep has been serving The Pioneer Valley area with an uncompromised commitment to quality food. We are a delicatessen, all-butter scratch bakery, café, and gourmet food purveyor. Our deli offers a wide variety of overstuffed sandwiches made from Boars Head and imported meats, fresh vegetables, and our own freshly baked breads. We also carry iced teas, natural sodas and juices to accompany your meals. Our bakers are in every night making from scratch a delicious spread of croissants, danish, muffins, scones, rolls, and breads. Everything from our bakery is made with all natural ingredients and real butter. Our pastry chefs work daily to create scrumptious confections, pastries, & cakes. Our pastry case contains eye-popping desserts and a veritable cornucopia of indulgences. Our catering department offers desserts, appetizer platters, breakfasts, luncheons and dinners for pick-up or for delivery. The Black Sheep serves freshly roasted and brewed coffee drinks, assorted black and herbal teas along with chai and seasonal mulled cider. The Black Sheep is a wonderful place to meet friends for coffee or lunch, eat dessert after a movie, or sit and work.

A little bit of bias here. But every anniversary my husband and I go here for hot cider/hot chocolate and the fruit tarts/lemon tarts. No matter what we are doing or where we are- we always make time to go here. Perfect in every way... but then again I'm a little bias. Side note: Staff is super helpful, and kind. If you have food allergies or want to know what is what- they go out of there way to make sure everything is perfect.

The desserts (chocolate macaroons, and red velvet volcano cakes) are ridiculously good. For a good filling and spicy sandwich, try Southwest Chicken. On a summers day, seated outside with tea is just great

Great sandwiches and great ingredients. A little expensive but worth it. My one beef is that if you get there at the wrong time it can take a long time to get your food, but that can't be helped

Local coffee blends, fresh baked pastries and breads. Best lunch sandwiches in the whole downtown. Live music some nights of the week.
