Animal Care Veterinary Hospital is a full service veterinary clinic and hospital. Our professional veterinarians have served local pet owners for years. We are proud specialist in pet wellness, medicine and surgery. We provide routine services such as pet exams, check ups, vaccinations and pet dental cleaning as well as more urgent procedures such as pet surgery.

We had to put our beloved Boxer Roxie down on February 6th. The staff was very supportive and sincerely nice. We received a card from them with personalized notes from the Vets who took care of her in her final months. The veterinarian who performed this explained everything that was going to happen during the process. They treated Roxie very well and it was extremely quick which we were thankful for. It is not easy to make such a decision concerning your beloved pet but they helped to make it easier on all of us.

I have had two emergencies with my dogs recently and they always make sure to fit them in the schedule no matter what. I highly recommend taking your fur babies here. They are so easy to work with and take such good care of my dogs!

Been in twice now for my new rescue pup. She has decent anxiety issues, but the vets were super gentle and had absolutely no issues warming her up quickly to them. They've been super helpful and their prices are fairly decent.

The staff and vets are very courteous and professional. Cost is reasonable and making my appointments were quick. I highly recommend.

I will always take my pets here. Every time I've come here, I've had such a great experience. My first time, I brought my dog because he suddenly broke out in hives. I was panicked and rushed him down there, they took us back with no appointment and didn't even mention it. I was so worried, I didn't even think to make one. Second time, I brought my dog because he was acting funny and scooting his butt on everything. Turns out he just needed his anal glands drained and that's all they charged me for. 

This last time I brought my dog, though, is the reason I'm reviewing. He suddenly got very sick over the weekend and we took him the sunset animal ER (which I don't recommend going to if you can help it). The animal ER told us he was a very sick dog and urged us to put him down that night. We ended up taking him home. We called Animal Care West Monday morning and they were able to get us in a couple hours later. We took him in, and they were so caring and compassionate from the moment we arrived. The vet did blood work on him and advised us we could hospitalize him overnight to see if that would help bring his levels down. So we did.They called us with updates and let us know how he was doing the whole time he was there; Told us we could visit or call at anytime, as well. Unfortunately, he was just too sick. We brought him home and had him put down there. There was just no going back for him. The vet seemed hopeful in being able to bring his levels down and I wished she was right. I do believe she did everything she could to try to save my little guy.  For that reason, I will always bring my pets back. 

Additionally, the sunset animal ER did about half of what this vet did and charged nearly double. At Animal Care West, we had one night hospitalization, catheter, supplements, 2 blood screens, a few other charges, was in and out in about half an hour, and it was about half the price of what the animal ER charged. The animal ER only did 1 blood screen, told me I should put him down, and wasted 6 hours of my time.

TL;DR: Take your pets here. The vets and staff are very caring and compassionate and the prices are decent.
