We took our cat there when he stopped eating. They took him in the back and tried to take a blood sample and were not able to hold the cat and prevent him from moving. They failed to get the sample and ended up bruising the cat's leg from the needle. Then without our knowledge or consent, they sedated the cat to try to take a blood sample again, on the other leg. They failed again, bruising the cat's other leg. We waited for more than an hour while they had taken our cat for a "quick" blood draw, and we had no idea what was happening to him. All in all, they managed to stress and bruise both of the cat's back legs, give him sedatives without our consent, and they were not able to figure out what was wrong with him. We were sent home with a "let's wait and see if he improves in the next 24-48 hours" and a $220 bill, with several procedures, medicines, etc that we did not consent to. I regret taking my cat there. I will not take any of my pets there ever again, and I would advise anyone who cares about their pets to not go there.

Never have I ever stepped foot in such a fantastic vets office. They have been nothing but AMAZING to my pit mix and I. We had her surgery at a different clinic in an emergency situation and were not very happy at all with the care we received there, I called these guys up last minuet on a Thursday night in a panic because I couldn't change her bandage correctly and the vet on call had me bring her right in and from then on we have been seeing them for her post surgery care which is 3-4 times a week. Every time you walk through the door they all know exactly who you are and who my dog is and it really makes you feel that much more comfortable. The techs, vets, front staff, environment. All 10/10. I would drive an hours to see them, but thankfully they are also just right around the corner and in such a convenient location.

This vet is wonderful. My dog had to have surgery a year ago, and they did an excellent job and saved his life. The service was absolutely fantastic, doctor very willing to answer all my questions and very compassionate. More recently we found out he had cancer and had to put him down shortly after, but yet again they were so kind and compassionate through the whole process. I really appreciate everything they did for Bouncer. I will be back with future pets.

I have been taking my pets here since moving to the area in 2012. They have exceptional doctors and staff. Besides exceptional clinical skills they are so empathetic and kind. I have several seniors and a couple of hospice kids so we see each other quite often. An added benefit is the deep & varied knowledge base. The doctors consult with each other to find the best course of treatment. I've been going to Vet clinics my entire life and Sugar House is by far one the best!!!

After having a terrible experience with a different vet in town I decided to take my cat to Sugar House because of all the good reviews, and I’m so thankful that I did. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Belnap and the technicians at this vet. They took such good care of me and my kitty. He was really sick and they were able to get him in for a last minute appointment and didn’t make us wait for more than a few minutes. They are also very fairly priced for the quality of care that you receive. Dr. Belnap went above and beyond to figure out what was going on with my kitty. Unfortunately I ended up having to make the tough decision to put my cat down. But I can’t thank Dr. Belnap enough for how compassionate and supportive he was through out the experience. I highly recommend Sugar House Veterinary Hospital.
