This is a terrible business with no morals whatsoever. A sign of a good business is happy employees; a business that treats their employees is a general indication that the business is run well with integrity. Rude, smarmy employees are a perfect indication of a business that treats their employees like dirt. After accusing me of stealing a scarf, an employee grabbed my shopping bag and handbag out of my hands and proceeded to empty them out and go through them. The scarf, by the way, was my own scarf purchased from saks last year. Outraged, I went home and conducted some research to find out if any other customers have had similar experiences. I was astounded to find that this kind of treatment is not out of the ordinary for all of Urban Outfitters' stores; Anthroplogie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People. I read testimonies from employees who declared that their managers trained them to disguise holes, tears, and stains on the apparel so that customers would buy the garment before seeing the imperfection. This is unacceptable. Please, hold this company accountable for their tasteless indiscretion and immoral practices.

The last 2 times I went in the store at Stony Point, I had very poor customer service. Last December I purchased a couple items, and when I got home a sweater I bought had a hole in it. I called the store and asked them to hold another sweater in that size, that I would come back out that night to exchange. I was going out of town the next am. Taking more time out of my schedule (since I was leaving town), I went and no one ever held the sweater or even knew what I was talking about! There was no apology...nothing! So rude! Then I went in this past week, and a woman asked to start a dressing room for me and took 2 items from me. About 10 minutes later, while still looking around, Claudia asked to take other items (about 7) to add to my dressing room. Well, those items never made it to my dressing room. Again, no apology and NOTHING was done. Since I don't have all day and had to get to work, I had to leave. This store has the worst customer service and ignorant women working there that I have EVER dealt with. They act completely clueless, and I honestly think they are. Beware of shopping there, you WILL be disappointed.
