ALL the staff in the birthing center are very kind and professional. They made having a baby a much easier and enjoyable experience. I'm very grateful I got to have my baby here just because of how amazing all the RNs are.

I live in Albany, OR and usually only go to Samaritan for my health care. I moved to Medford for my externship and was stuck going to this place for urgent care. I went in on Wednesday (Jan 31st) at 10:30AM. My face was swelling, eye swollen almost shut, in extreme pain. I waited two hours in the waiting room to get taken back into the Dr office. Waited another hour and a half inside the Dr office waiting for the actual Doctor. When the Dr comes in, I felt so relieved because I thought he was going to help me. He took one look at me, and told me Urgent Care Doctors are not educated on how to treat eyes. He referred me to an Ophthalmologist, and sent me on my way. I was with the Doctor for not even 5 minutes, after waiting 3 hours to see him. I don't remember his name, or what he looked like because I wasn't with him for very long. He did not try to help me at all, even though I was in obvious pain. Plus, I thought Doctors were educated in all parts of the body? He pretty much told me that Urgent Care doctors are not educated at all. WORST experience of my life at Asante. I will never ever be going back to such a crappy company.

Do not go here. The nurses are either really sweet or sadistic. I was in labor for 2 days before being induced. The nurse who initiated my induction was sadistic and wanted to hurt me for pushing the nurse call button too much. She also would not come as I laid screaming on the cold tile floor with the worst contractions which I’d been feeling for days prior. All while my husband and 5 year old daughter didn’t know what to do but push the button for her to come. Oh she came alright, and was so upset that we kept pushing the button, the second time she checked for dialation she shoved her finger so hard and fast up my vagina I screamed and bled. She did this  out of anger and stress because it was so busy that night. 

My complaint will not end here as I will go to the highest level to make sure that sadistic nurse is fired and doesn’t hurt anyone else. That woman should not be a nurse and has obviously burned out.

I have only been to Asante once before  and let’s say first impressions are the greatest. As I take my 80 -year-old grandpa into Asante for an appointment we had scheduled at let’s say 11:00, We check in and wait for about 10 15 minutes no big deal. But then 20 minutes and 30 minutes rolls by and I become a little frustrated.  So I go to the desk and ask about the status of the appointment And to my surprise the appointment had been rescheduled for 11:50! Im slightly more frustrated But proceed to wait another 10 15 minutes  before he was finally admitted so  finally after an hour and 20 minutes of waiting nightmare was over.  So here I sit in Asante parking lot for the second time not expecting to be impressed and wouldn’t you know it the appointment I came for had been rescheduled to the next month entirely and no one was notified you would think a professional business such as a hospital would be reliable and trustworthy but that is clearly not the case here at Asante my opinion dropped further as I kept reading other peoples occurrences at this hospital and I was shocked to learn  how morbid the stories were. So bottom line if you want Your life saved at a hospital don’t come to Asante they’ll  probably just let you bleed out in the waiting room for a couple hours first.
