Saw Dr. Gibson at Atlantic Ortho for a knee problem. Office is in sort of a weird building and not well marked. None of their forms/etc are electronic, which is incredibly annoying given it's 2017. Appointment itself was efficient with XRays taken first followed by a discussion with the doc. Wasn't overly impressed with Dr. Gibson who didn't offer any substantive advice. Referred to physical therapy, which is in the same office, but the forms say I can take it to any therapist. Not a very good experience overall. Not recommended.

I was sued by them and had to go to court because of my inability to pay a bill. I'm unemployed due to health problems and they were aware of this and notated it. I get that they were just trying to collect on a bill but I told them over and over that I was unable at the time. Also, my mother has had to have two knee replacements in both knees starting in 2007. That's ridiculous and her doctor did not seem to care. She has gotten a second opinion from a different group and is now facing surgery ONCE again. We will never go back to Atlantic Orthopaedic again!

I brought my mom in 2 days ago with a very painful broken back. We spent 2 1/2 hours there, only to be terribly disappointed. Dr. Byrd was so incredibly rude. He called my mom a "moron" and accused me of not being able to read...among other unfortunate things that came out of his mouth. If it weren't for the amount of pain she was in we would have walked out. STAY AWAY!!

The first time I went I thought that I would like Dr. Byrd and his staff. Had a follow up appointment thirty days after my first visit, anxious to get results and the next steps to take after reviewing my MRI results with Dr Byrd only to be HIGHLY disappointed. I felt like I was only there as a number and NOT a patient. Did not get the care and attention I was hoping for. When the doctor looked at me and asked me why was I wearing a brace on my hand, I knew then I needed to find a different dr as this was the Dr that prescribed me the brace to begin with. Why is he asking me questions and NOT looking at my file to clearly see what my first visit consisted of?! If I were you, I would certainly see about seeing someone else and NOT go to this place. You can thank me later.

The frail, black-haired, pale front office woman is disrespectful, incoherent, and has a terrible attitude. She doesn't know how to talk to people. What she said to my friend, who had an appointment there, was condescending and not polite at all! On top of all that she said they have to reschedule my friend 's appointment after we were there for his appointment Friday, 02/24/17!! He was told on his initial appointment by a doctor to bring a copy of his previous doctor's records as they already had his records from his accident. When we were there yesterday with his papers, he was already told by the doctor TO BRING, they said they have to send off for his records from his previous doctor. I then asked Erin, the same frail, black -haired, pale front office worker politely "Why isn't he being seen?" because I didn't know yet and she looks at him and says "I already told you! " We go to the next line and I'm asking my friend "What is wrong with her!? " "She has a serious problem!! " The chubby, black-haired, co-worker with glasses then says "You have to leave with that attitude! " D right I had an attitude! We were totally disrespected by a "Trash Talker" that works at a Dr. office. Then it was two front office workers upset with us for no logical reason, Erin and her girlfriend. We then are called to the side/back and my friend is speaking to another woman about his appointment and she said she'll be back and as we are waiting, the skinny, frail black-haired one comes to where we are acts as if she's looking in a folder but just is there to instigate and try to aggrevate us while rolling her eyes and trying to stare at us. I told my friend they need some people skills here and they better learn how to talk to people. Erin then says are you talking about me? I looked at her and said "Yeah I was talking about you! And I'm talking to you now! " She then says while walking to the front quietly "F you! "and then aloud "I hope you have a good day!" while patting her thinning hair. I then cursed at Erin and told her I will have a great day (In which I had a great day once I left that God-forsaken office) and I walked to where she walked to in the front window. She then threatens to call the police. Because she started nonsense trash with her ignorant mouth and couldn't back it up she then wants to call the police! Who would hire someone with her calibar to work anywhere, a doctor's office at that, to ASSIST people!!?? On top of all that my friend's appointment was cancelled, he's in pain and no explanation after we were there for his appointment Friday, 02/24/17!! I will update and elaborate more. I will wait to post the rest. I will contact the BBB also. Please read the continuation on next post.
