Story

Virginia Ophthalmology Associates was founded in 1984 by Dr. Annette Reda with a focus on adult and pediatric ophthalmology. We merged in 1992 with the Corneal Consultants of Tidewater to create a practice offering both comprehensive eye care for the entire family and specialist care in both pediatric and corneal surgery. We offer comprehensive eye care including the evaluation and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy for adults, specialist care in corneal disease and refractive surgery, and specialist care in pediatric ophthalmology.

Dr. Lall Trail has performed two eye surgeries on my daughter years apart. I have never had the staff be rude to me. They are very busy and there have been times they were matter of fact but this office deals with a lot. We have had rescheduled appointments but we have also been worked in when it was necessary. Dr. Lall Trail helps patients who have serious conditions. He diagnosed our friends infant daughter with cancer in her eye after the pediatrician said there was nothing to worry about. He worked that child in on short notice without them being his patient. I always think of that when I have to wait or there is a rescheduling and it doesn't happen often. He is a phenomenal surgeon and at the end of the day that's what counts.

Dr. Lall-Traill is the only pediatric ophthalmologist in the Hampton Roads area that I would trust with my son's eyes, besides maybe Dr. Chamblee. He is exceptionally good at his discipline, and therefore the demand for his time is high. Our first appointment as a new patient (over a year ago now) was made in April and he was scheduled all the way out to the end of August. However, now that we are active patient our appointments are scheduled at the regular necessary intervals. Dr. Lall-Traill performed an eye surgery for my son in December, and it went very smoothly. I was comfortable with the entire procedure, which was done at the CHKD surgery center on Princess Anne in VA Beach. We are very happy with our treatment plan so far, and very happy with Dr. Lall-Traill.

My daughter has been a patient of Lall-Trail for over 10years and has had multiple eye surgeries. Although Lall-Trail is a great doctor, getting timely appointments is impossible, the receptionist is always rude and they reschedule your appointments (that were scheduled MONTHS in advance) without even speaking with you directly.

Great experience for our young daughter. Dr. Lall-Trail was patient not only with our baby but with us. He answered our questions and did a great exam. The time and care that he gave us was appreciated.
