Got an appetite? Make Atrisco Cafe and its homemade-style New Mexican cuisine your #1 stop. Same owners as downtown's Tia Sophia's, Atrisco at DeVargas Center has free parking, daily specials and a full bar. Sopapillas and green chili too. Worth the wait during rush hours.

Good food with large portions. The meal depicted in my photo is the “Lite Bite.” It included a chicken enchilada, pork pasole, pinto beans, and rice. I selected the green Chile. Red Chile is also an option. Bring an appetite when you go!

Amazing food and amazing service! The servers create a great atmosphere. Definitely come eat here. Pricing is roughly $8-14 a plate.

The food was really, really good - my son and I had great New Mexican cuisine for lunch. The restaurant was very active, which is always a good sign. Unfortunately, the great meal was marred by the horrible service. Everything was incredibly slow and the staff was very stand-off-ish. We were sat quickly after arriving, but took a few minutes before someone acknowledged us for our drink order - by the time someone came to the table we had already decided what to order and even had time to read their two-page trivia leaflet on the table. I didn't fully understand who our wait person was but for the amount of customers, the wait for service and food was painfully non-personal and slow. We did have our drinks refilled a couple of times, but when it came to our check we spent more time waiting for the staff to close us out then we did actually eating the food. It took forever to get a to-go box, then we waited for the check, and, it of frustration, almost got up to pay (the receipt stated that we should pay our waiter) until finally a waiter took my credit card and literally handed it to a hostess, a few inches away, that had just sat someone. On the way out we didn't even get acknowledged, no eye contact, no "thank you", not even a smile or a "bye".... I would have understood had the lobby been full of people waiting for seats, but that was not the case. Service here is mediocre, at best. Everything felt very robotic and unwelcoming. That's too bad because this could be a pretty amazing place. I doubt we'll be back.
