I chaperone my son class every year just for this event. I love the zoo and really have a good time. It gets a little better every time because the animals are always out and the shows are cool. I really enjoy the whole environment, just the walking can be a little tough if you don't like to walk but once you start enjoying yourself it's not a problem at all. One more thing the food could be a little pricey but it's all apart of being out in that environment.

Whether walking the mile plus paved trail or wandering beneath the ancient live oaks, this is one of the best spots to take in the natural beauty of southeast Louisiana in the heart of New Orleans. The waterway boasts some impressive populations of migrating water birds. The north end borders St. Charles Ave and Tulane University. Magazine Street lies between the park and the zoo. There is a small Golf course on the west side, workout stations, and a children's playground. Even on scorching hot days, the shade of the masive trees provide some relief.

Had a great time visiting this zoo. The exhibits are so beautiful and the animals all look very healthy. Nice to see they take such good care of this beautiful place.

I have been going to this zoo since I was a child. Breathtaking Live Oak tress fill the zoo with many exhibits. The elephants and the Louisiana Swamp are my favs. Don't forget to grab saltwater taffy from the Roman Candy Wagon.

One of the more beautiful parks I have been in. It has a lot to offer with a zoo, golfing, and just wonderful scenery. The animals are plentiful but not obtrusive. As long as the day is fine walks and runs are great here with spots for exercise and water.
