DO NOT USE AUTO EUROPE. Lots of false advertising here, with loads of hidden fees. We got a quote for a rental car of around $100, and ended up getting charged nearly $400. Rent directly from an actual car rental company instead and save yourself a headache and a ton of money.

If you are planning a trip abroad and require an auto rental Auto Europe is the best in the business!  Their agents are extremely knowledgeable about the local  villages, cities and rural parts of the world that you may be traveling to, and provide all kinds of assistance in making your car rental experience a very positive one.  While many rental agencies will not tell you about hidden fees and expenses you might incur while on your trip, Auto Europe will keep you very well informed so that you are not running into unexpected costs while you are traveling making your trip a much better one.  They provide roadside assistance in the event you get stuck or lost, or perhaps just want to change your vacation mid-trip and head somewhere else.  I highly recommend using Auto Europe to anyone that is traveling outside the US and needs to rent a vehicle.  BTW...the also have a complete line of exotic cars for those that love to travel in the lap of luxury!

We used Auto Europe to rent a car with 'Rent a Star" and it was absolutly the worst car rental experience I've ever had. 45 minutes late 'picking us up from the airport' in Porto (the only reason they ever showed up is because we called them a million times).
SO MANY HIDDEN FEES!!! Ended up costing way more than an actual established car rental company (because I don't consider them one).
When it came time to drop our car off they were gonna 'call us- don't worry' they arrogantly insisted... well we showed up at the airport in Lisbon and it was a total cluster fudge! Ended up having to meet incompetent rental agent (who almost inadvertently crashed her own car) at a sketchy parking lot outside the airport... When I asked for a concession for their horrible service they said feel free to leave a bad review... well... consider this that! Luckily we still made our flight- JUST!
