Came to Auto Max to find a reliable car for an affordable price little did I know that their selection of vehicles had exactly what I was looking for. This was my second time purchasing a vehicle and was not looking forward to the process but Manny (the Manager) made this process as simple as possible and put no pressure on me to purchase and really was trying to get me in to the right car for me. He made the car search very simple for me and exemplified 10/10 customer service. I would 1000% recommend shopping here, very personable and professional.

My husband and I bought a car from here about 6 months ago. At the time we thought we were getting an awesome deal. Little did we know we just got ripped off. We had the car about a week and the engine light came on. We took it to their mechanic for him to take a look at it and fix it. He had it all day. When we went back to pick the car up the engine light was back on before we left the parking lot. We then took the car to a real mechanic to find out the engine was on due to the car needing a tune up. (Which Manny had said the car recently had before we bought it.) A week after the tune up was done the engine light came on again and it was all down hill from there. They procrastinated getting to the DMV to get us our license plates and did not even bother calling to let us know they were not going to be ready before our temporary tags expired. Manny may be a good sales man and friendly, but that is about it. He will be friendly and act like he is your best friend while lying straight to your face and making you think you are getting some amazing deal. They are especially after people in the military. We recently just traded the car in to a dealer and we found out just how much he screwed us. Be careful because their are no lemon laws in Virginia. So if you buy a car from them you are stuck with it. I do not and would never recommend mend this place to anyone. They are all about trying to get people to write them good reviews, so 6 months we did. After going through what we went through, I could not let that good review stay.

I cannot possibly sing enough praises about Tony (owner), Manny (manager) and the team at Auto Max Norfolk. They operate this business with integrity, knowledge, kindness and class. After searching for the right car for 6 weeks, driving countless vehicles and walking off of numerous lots, I found Auto Max, bought a car, and now consider myself a customer for life.
I am very careful to not vouch for a person or a business that I do not have a good amount of experience with personally. I want to feel very confident that I will not be leading anyone into a potentially bad situation based on my recommendation. After working with Manny for the last few weeks to buy a car and get a key fob made, I am not only very comfortable backing him and this business, but I am proud to do so.
There was zero (and I really mean zero!) pressure while looking on the lot, zero pressure or judgment while asking (a million) questions, and zero pressure during the negotiating and purchasing process. Manny and Tony never made me feel dumb or unimportant, and it was evident that they genuinely wanted to give me the best answer for every question that I had. The exact things that had turned me off from so many other dealerships - the salesmen being pushy (even when they claimed to be non-commission based), not listening to what I said, and trying to force cars on me that I already knew that I didn’t want - were non existent at Auto Max. They not only care about running a quality business, but they care about YOU. I can honestly say I believe that they wanted me to make the right decision for ME and not for their paycheck. Manny and Tony made it possible for me to get the exact car that I wanted (manufacturer certified and under manufacturer’s warranty) at an incredible price. 
If you are fed up with obnoxious and pushy car salesmen who are leaving you exhausted and dejected, go to Auto Max. If you are looking for high-quality cars that are all driven, checked out and personally vouched for by the owner himself, go to Auto Max. If you are looking for a quality business to support in the Hampton Roads area, go to Auto Max.

DO NOT GO HERE! The salesman Manny is a scam artist. I bought a car from here. First time car buyer. Everything was rigged to look properly fixed and they pocket any money you give them for down payment or anything. He knows there are no lemon laws in the state of virginia. So do not go. You will regret the decision.

Auto Max has a good selection of quality cars. Manny helped us out and I would recommend going here to anyone who wants a great car and an awesome deal! I really enjoyed doing business with them & they helped us any time & every time that we've needed it since our purchase!
