I spent many years looking for a good mechanic after I moved to Lexington. I found Auto Tech after numerous other providers over-charged me and caused additional problem to my car. Auto Tech has always been honest and fair with me on everything. They are prompt in their responses, open in their communication, consistent on their pricing and a real pleasure to work with. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES TO EVERYONE!

My experience with Auto Tech Service was nothing short of excellent.  This will be a detailed account of my experience.  

I called on a Monday afternoon for an appointment, and they were able to get me in on Wednesday.  I took my car in for a sporadic electrical issue that I was tired of trying to diagnose.  

I was quoted a price range when I dropped the car off and was told if the cost was going to be more they would contact me before proceeding any further.  

Wednesday evening the mechanic called me to discuss what was going on with the car and would start on it in the morning.  Thursday I got a call with an update and that I had exhausted my initial price quote and would I like to continue and was given an updated quote.  

Thursday evening the mechanic called to update me on the progress and that he believed he had found the issue but would like to keep the car one more day for verification.  

Friday I received another call from the mechanic telling me that my car was fixed and I could pick it up anytime.  I could not pick the car up till Monday so he said he would test the car again on Monday and give me another update.  

Monday came and just like he said he called and notified me the car was in fact ready to be picked up.

They have great communication with the customer.

I received a fair value for the service provided.

I was shown a video of the diagnostic cpu while the car was acting up and given the old part to review.

The only issue I had and it is not a big deal.  My AAA app says they give 10% off labor up to $50.  When I checked out I was given 10% off the cost of the part, which was a lesser amount.  I still feel that I received a fair value for the service provided even without a discount.  

I will definitely take my vehicles back to Auto Tech Service in the event I can not fix it myself.

I was passing through on my move across country and my serpentine belt broke just outside of Lexington. Turns out it was my A/C compressor had gone bad and the pulley seized. I brought it in on Monday morning at opening and they quickly had me back on the road by 10:30 am. It was not the cheapest fix but Auto Tech was very fair on the price. For belt, compressor and recharge it was under $1000. Tony kept me informed throughout. Honest, fair, and fast!

The quality of work is second to none and even if something were to go wrong, Auto Tech does something a lot of garages no longer do – Auto Tech STANDS BEHIND THEIR WORK. I have been taking our vehicles to Auto Tech for roughly 15 years with no regrets. I ALWAYS recommend them to fellow employees and friends when asked about mechanics or auto repair shops.
