PS: I see that the owner has responded but I guess you failed to see the Electric Car charging issue where you charged me extra citing Airport convenience which does't make any logical sense. Kindly rectify the same as it's a real bummer. Just charge the customer as is what the charging stations shows, why add in random fees for no reason? The first electric car experience was good until i was overcharged for charging it. I made sure I returned the Tesla above 80% charge which is above their recommended 70%. The super charger showed a coat of $14.42 but later after a few weeks I was charged $16+ and when I asked, it was cited that those are service charges. This is something that needs to be looked into Avis. Not cool. My second experience was fine with a Gasoline Vehicle. So yeah its pretty good otherwise. Please note that the return location is different for Avis and totally separate from other companies. Its right at the start you go towards the car rental route. There will be a huge board which says Avis Budget.
Great service, friendly staff, very professional and very fast. I received a better vehicle and better rate than their competitor Hertz. I had come to this AVIS location right after being ripped off from the nearby Hertz with an online booking they would not honour and payment they would not refund still fighting for it. AVIS and the staff at this location was great to deal with and I would highly recommend them for renting vehicles.
Complete negligence from these people. Rented me a car with the passenger front tire worn down below the wire on the inside tread which then blew a hole the night before I had to drive back to the airport. I checked the car briefly before leaving the airport and didn't see this as I would've had to get under the car to see. Avis couldn't get me a replacement in time, nor could I find any available taxis or Ubers so I had to pay someone at my hotel for a ride at 5:30 am the next day.
Such an easy experience, booked online couple days ago, the car was ready when I got to the Rental place, had for a week and dropped it off, no issues whatsoever, the person in the front was easy to deal with

Terrible service. Very disrespectful behavior in the counter. Had to wait for my car about 1 hour after a 10 hr flight. They wanted to give me another car for my reservation. Never coming back to Avis Toronto. total nightmare.
I booked the car for a period of three months. After two weeks a road accident occurs, in which I'm 100% right. While filling out the report, I discover that the car is missing documents and some are expired. I go to the airport to get the necessary documents.. The gentleman at the office tells me that everything will arrive on my email the next day. The next day no email arrives, i tried calling and writing the number provided but no one answered. I lose another day to go to the airport and discover that the gentleman from the previous day had given me the business card of another agent!! I explain the situation, and the documents are provided to me in 5 minutes. IT IS NOT CLEAR WHY I HAD TO GO TWICE. I fill out the report and go to the airport again to hand over the damaged car and the one that was kindly lent to me to carry out the paperwork relating to the accident. They tell me that there are no cars available, I have to keep this one and that I will be contacted in a couple of days. THE DAY BEFORE, THE AGENT REASSURED ME TWICE THAT HE RESERVED THE SAME MODEL FOR ME. I waited two days, no calls. I go to the airport AGAIN, to make me say that I have to wait two days. Another 4 days pass, NO CALLS! In the meantime though, I'm paying for the car I'm supposed to have, when in reality it's lower class!! I have never had such a bad experience with AVIS. Disorganization and feeling of being made fun of. I will ask my company, a customer for years, to no longer book your services for our team in Canada.
Booked a car for 641€ online, got a confirmation that I paid 895€ ???, and they made me pay again 1006€ ???? when I was getting the car. I thought they might only be blocking a deposit in case of any damage to the car but nope they took everything meaning I paid twice. Spent hours on the phone instead of enjoying my vacations trying to solve this. The ended refunded me 881€ which is not even equal to the lowest amount. Not happy because it ended up costing me 1020€ instead of the 641€ when I checked out online... We did have an upgrade on the car and the car was super cool and everything went well but we felt tricked.
Arrived on Saturday morning without prior reservation. Receptionist was polite and helpful. Rented a Tesla mode 3 for 4 days. The car was clean and fully charged. The drop off was also easy and fast. No issues at all. I will use them again on my next visit.
I’m currently at Avis YYZ location, I already have a reservation which I prepaid, I’m still not getting my car. The ladies at the counter are extremely rude, and unhelpful. I applied a code from my company and got discount, these people wants me to call Avis and cancel the reservation and book with them at 250$ per day. They are looting customers. These people here do not know how to talk to a human being let alone a customer. Also, they all started talking in their language and after the talk the lady told me we cannot give you a car. It shouldn’t be so hard to rent a car in Toronto. But this Avis location is making it very hard. This is completely useless group of people. The ladies at the desk along with a guy doesn’t even know how to work a computer. Will never rent from Avis again, just FYI, I typed all this and still on hold with Avis.
