Story

Located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, close to Mt. Rushmore and all Keystone hotels. We specialize in made to order steaks, ribs, burgers, smoked meats, vegetarian, sandwiches, salads and appetizers. Kids menu. Visit our original 1880's back bar in restaurant. Enjoy a seat on our covered patio or sit in the sun on our front deck. Entertainment in the downstairs lounge on the weekends. We also feature pool, sporting events and gaming.

Food was not horrible. It was actually okay, took a long time but they say it takes a bit on their menu. I would have given a 3 but my husband didn't get his Mayo for his burger till he had a bite left. They do have to go upstairs to get the food but I saw another worker go up and if the server would have asked someone for help I'm sure it would have been handled more promptly. So bottom line, prices are fair for area, amount of food for price is good and the food tastes good. Staff needs to work better as a team to take care of customers when it gets busy. Our waitress was nice, just busy. It was very cold in bar area but hey I'm from Florida so maybe it was warmer to others that are used to the climate.

Visiting Mount Rushmore in October. This is one of the only places open during the winter months. Food wasn't bad. Service was good and the bartender/server was very friendly. Beer selection was good. Definitely not a bad place overall.

My family wanted to try this place just a block off main drag in Keystone. It was 6 pm during Sturgis and the place was quiet. Our service was very slow considering that there were only 4 other tables. I had to go ask for menus. It seemed that the staff spent quite a bit of time gathered together. We sat on the upper deck where you could see staff smoking- a lot. I had to go ask for sweetener for tea and when the waitress brought condiments, she brought 2 napkins for 4 of us. The atmosphere was nothing to write home about. Someone had tried to plant flower boxes, but they were dead. Lastly, the food. They were out of chicken wings and out of chicken, so we had to have burgers. The bacon on all burgers was fabulous. The portions were generous, but the burger itself was a bit dry as was the bun. The French fries were awesome! I probably wouldn't have given this as high of a rating as I did except that the man out front was so nice. If this is his business, he needs to put a lot of time in to training his staff. I was waitress at numerous restaurants, over a span of 10 years, so understand the value of god service.

Over priced ordinary continental menu! & was treated like dirt by staff, I do not recommend.
