Story

mission. to INCLUDE every body. to create fresh new dynamic classes that every day center on technique, posture, and alignment. We are here to CHALLENGE and engage each student in movement. We are dedicated to creating a community of barre-enthusiasts, athletics, healthy living, and KICKA$$ instructors who are passionate compassionate instructors for themselves, fitness, and one another.

Barre.[d] is amazing. Each class is a total body workout with an instructor that is pushing you to constantly aim higher and try harder. The studio focuses on low impact, low weight, and high repetition movements to build toned, lean muscles. Highly recommend.

Barre[d] is my favorite workout ever! The studio is warm and welcoming! The instructors are the best! They work to push you to your best workout!

You know those ballet classes you remember as a girl where you may have gained confidence in your body and grown into your own? Or perhaps you were like me and forgot all the steps and moves come performance time and were always just the slightest bit off from the beat? Either way, barred studio is where I come to continue to grow into who I am as a woman. I feel supported through the laughter and the shakes. May you be fortunate enough to attend a class with Hanna's mom as my face has never hurt so much from laughing in an exercise class. EVER. This is the best place to start your day or end your day or just go to break away. Love you ladies!

You will not regret starting barre at barre.[d]. By week three I was already seeing muscle tone in my arms and abs. I feel stronger and happier, having done barre 2-3 times a week for the past three months.

My favorite barre studio in Charlottesville- the teachers are great and the owner is awesome. They do fun classes all the time and they have great prices!!
