Carla is so talented and what she does. I started out with some introductory sessions with her to learn some basics about posture and Pilates, and that alone changed my life. Learning how to stand correctly since I work on my feet has been immensely helpful. Now I try to do a class a week with either Carla or Grace, who is also wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. If you're thinking about trying Pilates out or looking for a new studio this is your place!!

The Posture Studio is an amazing place! They don't focus only on core strengthening (my perception of what Pilates is all about) but on your posture, how you move, lift, reach, etc. as well. My body is chang in a very positive, healthy way and I have Carla and Grace to thank for it! They are sknowledgable, sensitive, caring--and tough when they need to be! I plan to continue going for the forseeable future and highly recommend them!

I love this pilates studio and the people in it.  I have been coming here for many years, and the work I've done here has transformed my body and my relationship to it.  The studio itself is beautiful, and the instruction is unparalleled to anything I've ever experienced--and I've been to many studios in the Charlottesville area and elsewhere.  The intensive focus on proper alignment, posture, and technique has helped me to become more mindful of how I move in everyday life, and my body is markedly stronger and healthier than it was before I began this training.  This studio is not just about "exercise;" it is about coming to know your own body in a new and wonderful way.
