Great place for a bite to eat outside downtown. Our bar tender/waitress was extremely friendly and full of energy. I had the burrito pescado. It was delicious. I cannot remember what the wife had, but it was all good.

Growing up in the barrio myself this restaurant is a far cry from the southern Ca Mexican as I know it. The flavors are wrong more like cheap Tex Mex. The service staff were nice but food took forever to get to out table and it came out cold. The salsa for the chips where's the flavor?? The margarita is as good as what you get on an economy flight. Don't go here if you want a taste of delicious TRUE Mexican you can find around almost every corner here. Think "Mexico Viejo" or "Lucha Libre". There are many more as well.

My wife & I took the train up to CB Village for an evening of fun - decided to give Barrio a go. Just a block East from the train station so super convenient location. It was pretty crowded so we found a table outside and ordered a couple margaritas, very good. Chips & salsa was also good. I had enchiladas and my wife had 2 tacos, fish & chicken. The food was good - we ate everything. The meal took about 90 min, good thing we had time. The staff griped about being "slammed" to everyone.
