Went there last night for dinner. It was 30 min before closing and I was worried we wouldn't be able to order. We got seated right away, our waiter was very polite and friendly. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu's and my wife was happy with the wine he recommended. The food was delicious and it came out very quickly. I am excited to go back and try the Chicken Parmigiana and a Cannoli.

It's like a home cooked meal from my nonna's house. Mike, our waiter, was exceptional, he knows his food and he knows what to recommend, I fully recommend this place.

Please do not let the negative reviews sway you away from this gem. Nor let the appearance of the physical building nor the staff the greet you ( shy people could feel imitated ) deter you from eating here!! There are many Italian Restaurants in the Carlsbad Village. If you are looking for upscale and industrial then pick these places if that appeals to you. If you feel put off or imitated by the staff that ask you "how are you" or "try our award winning garlic bread" or "hungry?" or "had dinner yet" as they speak to you as you pass by... PLEASE do not feel put off or offended!!! My family and I went to Caldo Pomodoro on Mothers Day and were pleasantly surprised!! We were more than satisfied with the food and service we received!!! This rates more than 5 stars as the food was beyond what we have experienced previously. We had the Felit Meion, Cajun Shrimp and the Salmon. Service and food was beyond all of our expectations!! Staff catered the best to my family and we were the happiest visiting here!! They were the best of all of the restaurants we visited in this village!! Please take a moment and seriously consider this restaurant. Let the attitude or the pushyness you read NOT deter you. This is how they advertise. Let it go and experience truly amazing Italian Cusine in the Carlsbad Village. Everything is made fresh and daily. Our food, desert and coffee were what we expected from an upscale Italian restaurant. Best Italian Restruant in the Carlsbad Village by far. If you don't agree then please post an informative an honest review or rebuttal of my review.

Service is good. Prices have gone up. Food is good but sometimes the portions are small.

Best garlic bread in San Diego county!! Bill our server was awesome!! Really made the experience even better! Had the sauteed calamari and it was fabulous. Really enjoyed the authentic east coast style Italian food. Sat out on the patio...a whole lot of fun for a reasonable price.
