A hole in the wall-esque brick and mortar establishment that still had the ambiance of their former food cart business. In that fashion, their food is prepared and served in such a quality. Overall, the gimmick of this restaurant is of waffle-based comfort food, namely their waffle sandwiches. The tase was about average; not bad but not spectacular. 

As will all eateries of this size, they struggled during the morning rush, taking almost an hour to get our order out. If visiting during a peak time, expect a significant wait. Also, Batter Up shares seating space with three other eateries (think food court setup, but way smaller). In turn, with limited seats, expect to share tables with others not in your party. Price was average. Parking via street only.

I honestly don't understand all the good reviews for the food at this place. It was mediocre at best. Waffles were dry, hashbrowns seemed pre-frozen, biscuits lacked flavor and texture. Way over-priced for what you get, took a long time to get food, and left the restaurant with an upset stomach on top of it. I will say that they cook a decent egg and the atmosphere is cool, but otherwise don't waste your time and money.

I went with my roommates after a 10K race, and we all got different things -- all so good! Highly recommend the Mac Daddy if you like mac-n-cheese or chicken and waffles if you want some sweet and salty or any of the cheesecake waffles if you want sweet. We will definitely be back again!

We wanted to go some place new and Batter Up was a nice little surprise! The food was REALLY good and the gentleman was very friendly.  We will be back to try more of the yummy looking items on the menu!

Great chicken and waffles and the staff is super friendly. Go on a rainy day and they punch your punch card twice!
