Reasonable prices and excellent self guided tour. Ship is well maintained and you’re able to see many different areas (some with retrofitted easy access stairs and some with original access for authenticity). Heat and air conditioning have been added to most main rooms to keep temperature comfortable regardless of weather. Self guided tour takes around 3 hours if you take your time. New app with audio tour and additional photos/videos is a nice touch. Cute gift store at the exit to support ship restoration and addition of a deck to walk around the exterior and restore the hull.

This ship reminded me of my time in the Navy. Same kind of stuff. Same bunks. Same engine room. Guns much bigger on this ship though. I heard when I was in the Navy that each shell weight same as a Volkswagen bug, about 2,000 pounds. Also didn't see much alligators when I was in the Navy. Good sights for the kids. Lots of places and things to see here on this ship. I think the name of the alligator was Charlie but I'm not sure. I remember when I was a kid they took up coins for saving this ship so its cool we get to see it.

It's too bad there are only 5 stars for the battleship, because it deserves at least 10. We visited SC/NC over Thanksgiving and this was by far the highlight of the trip. It was incredible. When you go, (you definitely should go), make sure you give yourself at least 3 hours! We're definitely going back as we only had 1.5 hours and it wasn't enough. Bring a camera, video recorder, and extra batteries. Also, bring some water as there are stairs and some climbing up and down. Truly an amazing experience. Many thanks to all who served on this ship and continue to serve our Country!

This was our first time on a WWII battleship and appreciated the time and effort this group does to restore this old ship. We got here close to closing time so we did not get to peruse through the gift shop and were a little rushed going through the ship. But what we saw was very educational and was presented well. We were able to get in a couple turrets which was a eye opening experience for me. So get there early and give yourselves a couple hours for the full experience. Another bonus was that we got to see an alligator swimming close to the ship.

Awesome attraction everyone should see this! I've been on the battleship Alabama. But this battleship is probably the most open and viewable that I've seen of the two. And is very informative and Interactive. This is a great place to take your children learn about the last Great War.
