The Onslow County Museum is a public, non-profit, educational institution whose purpose is to stimulate an interest in and teach about the cultural and natural history of Onslow County and its agricultural, marine, and industrial resources and development so that residents of and visitors to the county will be able to gain an understanding and appreciation of its past, present, and future.
The Onslow County Museum is recognized as an important local history museum and serves the public through its permanent exhibit, changing exhibits, outreach programs to schools, and sponsorship of special events. The staff comprises the Director, Artifact Collections Manager, Education Coordinator, part-time Office Assistant, and part-time Exhibits Facilitator.
