The only upside to this hotel is that they're pet friendly. The house keepers were amazing! We were fleeing the hurricane and therefore had our dogs with us. They were very accommodating to the times we were out of our room with the dog and cleaned while we were gone(per our request). However, the guy at the front desk(older heavier set gentlemen that seems to work in the early morning) seemed to be very rude and more particularly to the women of my family. During breakfast on the first morning of our stay, I politely asked if they refilled the bagels or if that was it for the morning. He was having trouble finding s reservation(something that seemed to happen a lot during our stay) I figured since it was Saturday morning and the hotel was fully booked, they would have someone else working and he just needed to call or page them. He gave me a dirty look and said, "seeing as I'm the only one here, it's going to have to wait. I can't find their reservation and that's a little more important. But I appreciate you letting me know". His tone was very rude and made me feel very embarrassed to have had asked. We never got anymore bagels. On the morning we checked out, we left at 5am. My brother in law asked if he could fill up his coffee and the same wmployee told him yes. My sister in law was maybe a minute behind him and the employee looked at her and said "cani help you?" In a rude tone as if she was in the way. A few minutes later, my sister in law was using the microwave to heat up something for her small children(who were already in the car with their dad), and he told her she needed to get out of the breakfast area(where my brother in law had gotten coffee 5 minutes before). She apologized and assured him she was just using the microwave(there are none provided in the rooms) and he told her that she was in his way and that's why there was a sign blocking the entryway. 30 seconds later, he struck up a friendly conversation with my father in law(who was getting coffee in the same area as the microwave). It was very bizarre to watch him be polite to the men in my family, but then be rude to the women. Overall, we were happy to have the ability to stay somewhere safe out of the reach of the hurricane but we won't be choosing this place to stay if we ever come back to this city.

Great service staff! On university dr which had lots of local foods plus the discounts for waffle house were kind! Room was great size, carpet needed a good cleaning and some areas were definitely showing age, but overall the stay was well taken and pleasant.

Not bad for the rate you pay. If you are looking for extravagence, extra pampering and comfort, you may want to pay more somewhere else. But if you are looking for a bargain, reasonable comfort and cleanliness, then this is your place..

It was a great stay. They had breakfast available in the morning. They had a swimming pool. The room was very clean.

1st room was nasty, broken fridge, switched rooms, 2nd room was cleaner, fridge was still broken, housekeeping entered when Do Not Disturb was placed inside the lock (they would have had to take it out), most of the staff was very nice, one young front desk gentleman was very unprofessional and handed out a room key without asking for a name/identification to someone that just came up and asked, advertised that safes were available & they were not, someone was stuck in the elevator and the fire department was called but location is great.
