Crappy ATM retained my cash. What the hell does that mean??? Have never had this problem doing a cash deposit. Some livid. I hope there is a dam paper trail. Banking here for 20 years plus!

Unfortunately, I ignored the negative comments posted by others about BBVA Compass bank and opened a checking account with them. I have checking accounts with Chase, and Wells Fargo and BBVA Compass. While Chase and Wells Fargo are occasionally frustrating, BBVA treats customers with zero respect, borderline steals from them, and at times denies you the ability to withdraw from your own account. Luckily for me BBVA was not my main checking account. I had an incident where I tried to withdraw my funds to close my account (after incredibly poor customer service) and they did not allow my to make my withdrawal until customer service "reviewed" my account. I had an international vacation two days later and they did not review my account quick enough. If BBVA had been my primary checking account - I wouldn't have been able to take any money on my vacation. Please do yourself a favor and look at banking with ANY other bank. I ignored the negative reviews and paid the price. Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi are ALL better options that BBVA.

This specific branch is always excessively slow getting people through the drive thru. On more than one occasion they've failed to return deposit slip receipts and gave incorrect change when ordering money for the day.
