Beacon Pediatric Behavioral Health
Welcome to Beacon Pediatric Behavioral Health. My name is Dr. Adrienne DeSantis King and I am a Licensed Psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. My expertise lies in working with children and teens between approximately 18 months to 18 years, as well as their parents and teachers. Although I serve a variety of needs, I specialize in providing services to children with behavior difficulties, including disruptive behavioral disorder diagnoses, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and ADHD, as well as Autism Spectrum Disorders, anxiety, depressive symptoms, adjustment problems, and/or learning difficulties. Additionally, I have extensive experience conducting assessments for diagnostic purposes and/or to provide information on learning profiles and recommendations.
Services include individual, family, and group therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment, cognitive behavioral and behavioral therapy, parent and teacher education in behavior modification, psychological and educational assessments, school consultation, and advocacy for special education student services. I also specialize in the administration of the ADOS for Autism evaluations.
I am proud to be a Jacksonville native, and the only psychologist with a BCBA and NCSP in the area. I also completed years of training at the renowned Kennedy Krieger Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. I can provide services in the clinic, home, school, or community.
We have several BCBA level specialists on staff, as well as behavioral technicians that provide ABA services. We also have several psychologists and therapists that provide mental health services. We have 2 convenient office locations-- one near Town Center (6816 Southpoint Pkwy, Suite 202, Jacksonville, Florida 32216) and one in Mandarin/Julington Creek (12025 San Jose Blvd, Suite 2, Jacksonville, Florida 32223).
