Beaver KOA Journey

About

Stay in a cabin, or bring your RV for a peaceful stay. We even have corrals for your horses and dog runs for your dogs.

Story

Greetings from the owners at the Beaver KOA! We look forward to having you as our guest in one of the most beautiful areas in the West. Beaver is located in Southern Utah in a valley surrounded by mountains to the east and the west. The valley is mostly flat ranch land with grazing cattle and horses and with the beautiful Beaver River flowing through it. Our park is consistent with the rest of the area - level RV sites and lots of shading elm trees. The only thing that breaks the quiet of the park is the abundance of songbirds.

Conveniently located 200 miles in both directions between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, Beaver KOA is the only campground in the area that provides direct access via your ATV to 270 miles of the Paiute Trail. It's also a beautiful short drive to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Alpine lakes fed by trout streams, great hiking and backpacking are also close by.

We promise you friendly service, clean sites and restrooms, a well-supplied store, heated pool in the summer, and a perfect place to get away and enjoy the rural beauty of Southern Utah.

We accidentally booked a site that had the wrong amps for our needs. I called the number for the site after hours and was able to easily get changed to site that would fit my needs. The sites were clean and spacious and there were very few people this time of year. We also had great views of the mountains. We were close enough to the highway to easily get on and off for our overnight stop, but far enough away to not hear any traffic at night. We would definitely stop here again.

Nice accommodations. Cute and quaint. Office has a little book exchange library, pool table, washer/dryers, sundries and gifts, as well as a few camping and RV necessities. Our spot was right on the edge of the campground by a beautiful field. Love the mature trees and how well lit and marked everything is. We arrived very late and the office accommodated our reservation as well as there were LED solar lights on the spot markers, around the pool, and other areas that made it very easy to find where to park. There were bees at the playground and staff was very attentive to spray for it right away. They also jumped right to cleaning the pool while our family was swimming. We stayed 2 nights and would stay again when in the area!

Comfortable stay. Very clean and well-appointed little park has everything you could need. Shade, flat parking, quiet: 1mi off the highway. Laundry, dump station, propane filling, showers. Dog park, playground, pool. Well laid out and organized. Higher up in elevation than St. George, so 40° cooler (it was over 100° in St George at 9pm), so worth the extra 1.5 hr northbound drive.

Great pool, great bathrooms, great campground. Not great is all tent spots available but given the one that we didn't realize was right under the big KOA sign no biggie till dark fall and it lights up like the sun and keeps your tent light and bright all. night. long. Plus that spot is on the corner of the hwy and across from busy, noisy trailer park so the headlights exiting the trailer park would also light up tent. Lovely, lovely campground just be sure you request to not be under the light. I didn't sleep at all from that dang light. And personally? I don't think the website should advertise that the only sound breaking the silence is the birds. The trailer park was having a very loud music party but fortunately it was done around 11:30 pm. But then there was also the cars/trucks on the hwy early early am, just get a spot other than by the corner and it'll be great ;)
