The Belcourt first opened in 1925 and in 2016 it was beautifully restored. They screen indie, popular, cult, and classic movies. Parking is a little limited; however, if you buy your tickets online ahead of time, you'll get a parking pass you can print out before you go. I recommend arriving extra early so you can get a good parking spot. There are plenty of nice coffee shops nearby in case you need to kill time before the show. The theatre also offers a higher-end snack bar.

Historic theater recently went under great renovation. Shows a lot of indieflix and documentaries. Pro tip just park in their lot and when you buy a ticket they will give you a parking pass to go put on your dash. Don't pay to park in another lot nearby. Tickets are only like $10 too which is great. Even their snacks are reasonable compared to mainstream theaters. Always a classy date.

Favorite place to see a movie in Nashville. The renovations are nice too. I love that they have art upstairs. Always fun to go see what they have on display. They offer all the latest independent film releases but also tons of classic/cult midnight movies as well as Saturday kid's films. AND they partner with Jack White's third man records for special showings. Tons to offer and it's great.

Historic theater. Has added two additional screening rooms, one small and intimate. The main room is like stepping back in time. Extensive refreshments including wine. Shows mostly art house movies with occasional first run movies in limited release. Supported by grants and memberships, but open to the public.

Since the remodeling, The Belcourt has been my most frequented movie theatre. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: Every week there's the high school film club! Whatever is screening at the time will be offered to you for free, and you will also get free water and popcorn. After, you get to go to the newly renovated classroom where you discuss over free pizza. Free movies and food? I think yes. Just call and ask about the club. Zach and Allison are the heads of the program and they are some of my favorite people. Please take advantage of this!!!
