We visited several Bicycle Shops looking for a bicycle for my handicapped grand daughter.  Most of the places tried to fit her to a bike they had in stock.  Bicycle Bills spent time with us at an event trying to fit her to different bikes.  He had many suggestions and what he could do to modify a bike for her and offered suggestions for us when we are looking at other bikes.  When we decided to order one he spent several hours with her fitting her to the right bike.  He then dedsigned and built an adapter to make her bike a tandum bike.  Unlike many of the tandum bikes she can grow with the bike and it can be a single.  The best part is that she got a "cool" bike that her friends like and she fits in with her friends with her bike.

I was looking for a shop close to my house and this was about a mile away so I went to check it out. I asked if they had a kind of tire I was looking for but they had no idea what I was talking about. I ended up simply asking for a couple tubes and some bearing grease. One of the tubes exploded inside the tire before I rode it (using a quality pump with a good gauge), I threw the other away after that. I also found out that they hadn't given me bearing grease but had actually given me carbon/alloy assembly compound (basically the opposite of a lubricant). I would have noticed sooner but the Park Tools tubes have basically no product label, just a lot of small text, and I hadn't thought to double-check it because I had assumed they would have given me the right product.

I wouldn't give it 1 star because it seems like they have their niche with bikes for children and old people and I'm sure they're good for that. But it seems they don't try to learn or support anything other than that.

Kind a goofy guys  - but they are bikers, not public relations experts.  Always have given me fair prices on the parts I've needed, and good advice.  Don't know about their new bike deals, but I like that they work Memorial Day as a donated day to build recumbent bikes for disabled vets.  Bill is a good guy.
