I bought my first bike from them and not having done much research, I didn't know how important proper sizing is for ride quality and about the subcategories there are within road cycling. The person who helped me find the bike (Jeremy) ended up selling me a bike that, I later learned, it was way too small for me (maybe because it had a discount and he just wanted to get rid of it). A couple of years later when I was looking for a new bike, I went to another one of their stores (because they were the only ones who had the bike I wanted in my size) and I didn't buy the bike because they would not give me a discount for a previous year model when every other bike shop in town does and even before they knew I was looking for a discount, they were not very helpful in helping me find the right bike. I bought my bike somewhere else and I will definitely not return to them in the future, with so many good options around.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, high quality gear. Can be a bit intimidating. High prices.

Sales people seem uninterested in helping me. Quickly sold a battery for my power meter and returned to talking on their cell phone. When I asked if I could test the battery on a trainer they were extremely hesitant and hands-off. Not great service, especially since I bought the power meter and bike there. Go to Gear West instead, they'll appreciate you.

Went in to buy a jacket. They didn't have anything I liked. Guy said he could special order me one, but had to check on stock. Said he'd call me, but never did. Waited a week. Bought one for REI instead. Been months now and they never called to make an easy $150 sale. Guess they don't want my business.

gotta pay to play. Great store. been going here for 25 years. And yes, they know there stuff and the techs are passionate about their work. This is where a lot of advanced riders go to get there bikes tuned.
