Story

The Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum was a collaborative effort between the Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation, and the Biedenharn family, the original bottlers of Coca-Cola.

The museum houses a wide variety of exhibits interpreting the beginnings of Coca-Cola, the history of the Biedenharn family, the process used to first bottle Coca-Cola, a reproduction of the equipment first used to bottle Coke, the history of Coca-Cola advertising, and Coca-Cola memorabilia from past to present.

The authentically-restored candy store and office area feature furnishings and displays of the 1890s and offers ice cream, fountain Cokes, Coke floats and a wide selection of Coca-Cola souvenirs.

The Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum is owned and operated by the Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation, and is one of the Foundation's key success stories in preserving Vicksburg’s unique historical and architectural heritage

Home of Coca-Cola Bottling museum was fascinating view of the history of just how the product expanded. One of the most interesting discoveries was that the inventor of Coke had no expectation of expanding beyond Atlanta. Selling the bottling rights to Joseph Biedenharn in Vicksburg as the saying goes 'the rest is history'. Don't expect a lot from the small museum, but it's going to take you back in time, nostalgia and learning that are the real take-away's, try it you may enjoy.

The first place coca cola was bottled. Great collection of coca cola membrobilia. At $3.50 a head entrance fee it is well worth the visit.

Not much to it. A lot of Coke memorabilia and information to read. Won't keep kids interested. Adults will do better on their own, if interested in reading the historical information and taking more time.

Great little place to pop in and learn about the origins of coke and it's production. Odd that it doesn't recycle the bottles that you can buy to drink from there.

Not worth the time. It took longer to pay then walk through the one room museum. The "old soda fountain" reeked of cat feces.
