They have really awesome free kids fruit club here that is nicer and more generous than the local whole foods. We really appreciate that. They can get an apple, orange or a banana for free to eat that's not rotting or past its prime--its fresh fresh fresh. Whole foods offers fruit for their 'kids club' that's literally rotting and that's so gross. Whole foods doesnt Care about its kid customers the way big y does. BIG Y also has awesome fire truck shopping carts for toddlers to ride in while their parents shop, which makes the shopping experience more fun. Their prices are really good too.

This big y smelted of hot wings. Hot sauce not something  that i like. Also it smelted of fish, though out  the whole store. I will not be shopping  at this  store again. Once was more then enough, for me. The  Northampton store is so much better.

Warning, Big Y will charge you $0.10 for every bag that you need. Big Y is essentially regressively taxing its customers. While it is true that the town of Amherst has banned plastic bags, the town does not mandate that businesses pass the extra expenses onto the consumers. I am more than a little annoyed! Join me in boycotting Big Y until they start providing free bags for their customers like every other grocery store!

Tables in dining area need to be wiped once in awhile.  People are coming in and wiping wiping empty tables with their coat sleeves.  Gross.  Flu worries.
