Very very very good food. Also the wine pairings were fantastic. I️ did not find the servers aloof or cold whatsoever. The menu is fairly rigid, which doesn’t allow for very much flexibility or perhaps repeat visits. To anyone in or near Providence, I️ would say you *have* to try this place at least once.

Birch is a Michelin-level experience. The food this place puts out is second-to-none. It's easily the best restaurant in PVD (aside from North but they are cheaper- different thing) and it's all offered in a really non-fussy environment that is a really nice shift from the uptight air that permeates what I think of as the typical fine-dining restaurant. Get the wine pairing- it's phenomenal.

The concept of the restaurant is very unique, however, the dishes are short and brief in both flavor and size. There was no coordination in the flavoring of the courses and they leave your taste buds expecting more. I would recommend to couples who are interested in trying something new, but this is not a first date place. We have been meaning to try this restaurant for a couple of years and it did not live up to expectations.

Easily one of the best meals I've had the pleasure of experiencing. We opted for the beverage pairings with our 4 course meal (highly recommend this option), and settled in as the staff carefully and articulately walked us through a culinary experience they were clearly very passionate about. Portions were perfect, and there seemed barely a second we weren't eating or being introduced to some aspect of the next course. I'll be back any time I'm in Providence.

Excellent food and service. Wonderful small space. Servings are small tastings, not for those who like large hearty dishes and do not appreciate nuanced delicate dishes.
