The Capital Grille in Providence offers a unique dining experience whether it be lunch or dinner. They always offer at least 3-4 specials that are not on the menu. Service is excellent. Our favorite waiter is Tom and we usually reserve a table within his area of serving. From steaks to sea food a wide array of food choices are available. My only gripe is they are always offering mango sorbet. They have had raspberry ( to die for), lemon basil ( truly memorable) and a few others but the mango is almost a lead us the sorbet of the day and needs to be retired. Even the waiters remark they don't understand why mango sorbet so often. The management team is always on site greeting and assuring the customer is enjoying their dining experience. I have enjoyed every meal selection I have ever made but please, no more mango.

We drove up from CT. Saturday night for dinner. We were greeted immediately, sat quickly, and the atmosphere was right on. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was cooked to perfection. A, a la carte menu had great choices of food and the Chefs Suggestions all sounded above and beyond, and that is what we ordered. This place was absolutely amazing! We are going to plan another trip there and also tell our friends about this amazing culinary experience!! As a Chef, I know about food, and the flavor and execution of these dishes from the tuna tartar appetizer, to our entrees were flawless! A must for anyone wanting an amazing experience!!!

INCREDIBLE experience! Amazing meal in the quiet back room with a wonderful server, Nathaniel. Honestly, one of the best meals I've ever had. The Kona rub on literally any steak is to die for. My friend had the lobster bisque with a tableside swirl of sherry and we all tried a bite and loved it. Calamari didn't last more than 5 minutes it was so tasty and of course the mashed potatoes are perfect. Pricey, but worth it!

A standard in the business. Always first class. No complaints about the food or service. I'd give it 5 stars if they could figure out how to make it affordable. This is a special event kinda place for most people, not a regular spot purely due to price. Porterhouse steak should be on your bucket list. I liked the original location better. New location has valet only.

NEVER come to this location on a weekend night. We had a reservation on Saturday and upon arrival it was very clear they were overwhelmed having taken too many reservations with no space too place people. There was no place to sit( the bar was completely full with no place to stand or sit) and wait ( we arrived 20 minutes prior to our reservation time thinking that they could sit us earlier). We had my parents with us ( both in their mid eighties) and we found a place for them to sit but a Manager came over and very rudely asked my 86 year old mother to vacate her space so that they could place a table there. When they could not seat us at our reserved time and would not commit to when we could sit we left. Having traveled around the country working in Corporate America and eaten in many of the great steak houses around the country I can confidently say this is one of the poorest run outfits I have seen. Don't waste your time and hard earned money here. If in Providence go up to Federal Hill. Great restaurants and terrific service. Your money is better spent there than in dealing with the arrogance at this restaurant.
