We ended up using Blackfinn for our wedding rehearsal dinner and we were so pleased. Katie was our contact and she was so accommodating. She arranged a tasting (more like several full meals!) for us, made sure our specific requests were noted, and based on the size of our party (~80 guests) blocked off half of the restaurant and the back bar for us. Pricing was the most reasonable of all the restaurants we had quoted or did tastings at (which, most of them charged for tastings!). She was very responsive throughout, despite our quasi-neediness. The food was great, came out hot ,and in a reasonable amount of time given the size of our party. Our guests had an amazing time -- we got just as much great feedback about the party at Blackfinn as we did about our wedding! We are appreciative to Katie and Blackfinn for coordinating a seamless fun event for us and allowing us to enjoy our own party!

A classic DC bar with a jumping crowd, politics in the air, and good bar food. If you don't like noise, crowds, or politics, this is not the place for you. It is a younger crowd of professionals and a great one to check out of you are in the area or if this is what you are looking for in a bar. Overall, good. Prices on the bar are a bit high for no good reason. So, stick to beer and rail liquor.

When grown adults are playing quarters on the bar and the bartender is condoning it you know they're not interested in being a respectable establishment. Clear out the manager and crew and start over. I don't need a bartender shaking my hand. I need him to be attentive. Be sociable, but not familiar. Don't ask me three times if I want cheese on my burger. Finally, for god's sake have ketchup in a bottle! You have mustard in a bottle. Really a disappointment.

I must have gone on an off night. I stopped in with four friends for a drink and we were seated right away. Our server appeared to be hustling and I assumed they were just short staffed on a Saturday for some reason, because it was only about half full and maybe he had too many tables. After about 10 min he came by to say he'd be right with us. But after another 15 minutes we noticed he was just hanging out at the bar. We started trying to get his attention, but quickly decided that if service would be that slow we'd rather just go somewhere else. So we left without bringing the situation to anyone's attention. I'd been there before for a company event and remembered the service being good and the food decent. So I'm willing to try it again, but I'm not in any rush.

Great staff and wonderful service. The bartender was polite and attentive, our glasses were never empty for more than a second or two. There are tons of sites to see and visit in and around the area. Good food and great service! We will definitely be back again soon!
