What a Pleasant dining experience! My family & I visited from Nashville...To our surprise we just happened to visit on a lovely Monday night...which was the best night for oysters fresh on the half shell!....we enjoyed several dozen among other delicious appetizers, and wonderful cocktails!
My only sad moment was when I realized...our home town doesn't have A boathouse! This place makes me want to move to Chattanooga!

Stopped her on our way through town... Great opportunity to get a flavour of Chattanooga. We were seated quickly, drinks arrived shortly after and we only had a short time to enjoy the decor until our food arrived. 

The pork quesadillas were delicious and filling. The rice and beans were seasoned to perfection and the halibut tacos exceeded expectations.  

Well worth the short detour!

Always enjoy Boathouse. It's a classic. If you do not know where to eat this is the spot. I have never eaten a meal and been disappointed. Oysters are the best in Chattanooga. The also have French press coffee which is rare in chattanooga. I can go in a pick a different meal every visit and know it's going to be delicious.  Highly recommend eating here!

I had the flounder ceviche. It was great. It wasn't a lot like the stuff I get in San Antonio. I prefer that. But I would not hesitate to order this again. We split some oysters on the half shell. Yummy! My granddaughter's fries were very good. I got to taste several other entrees and they all passed muster. We sat outside. The waiter was great. I wish that I recalled his name so that I could immortalize him here and force his employers to give him a raise. Oh, well.

First visit to this restaurant....If you love fresh fish and don't mind paying want a restaurant with a view of the water specifically the Chattanooga, Tennessee River then go. 3 star for the view. The menu was overwhelming, I chose the wooden salmon medium done... Taste was bland the ginger sauce made it edible. Side of roasted over cook sweet potato with beans & rice. Brisket & fries dry and unseasoned. The con beside food, the atmosphere in the restaurant lots of stare, the host stop at everyone table and hurry to bypass ours, no eye contact ask "U good" the way the waiter kept lingering at my table waiting for me to pay or expecting me to run out, lol. Did not see any kids' menu....
