About

The Official Facebook of Aretha Frankenstein's! We serve breakfast from 7am to Midnight every single day!

Story

Aretha Frankenstein's is a small converted house in a residential area. We have 4 tables and bar seating inside. Our capacity is 30. We have outdoor seating contingent upon weather. We start outdoor seating later in the morning in order to control noise for our neighbors and to allow proper staffing. We do not have a parking lot. Street parking is available. We are known for our huge pancakes and large portions! We make everything in house from scratch. Our wait times on weekend mornings are legendary. We serve our breakfast every day until midnight so afternoons and evenings are the best time to avoid a wait for a table. We have amazing coffee and great beer selections as well. This restaurant is an experience and the experience does take time! To quote our t-shirts and menu: "It Ain't Fast Food!" Come and spend some time with us!

After enjoying the store bought pancake mix, decided to go all in with visit. Enjoy mix and website pictures. Skip. Found atmosphere not inclusive. Long waits for table and equally long wait for food after order. We had to request all things, water refills, napkins. These all total my recommendation -- skip. Enjoy the mix, if you into this sort of thing.

Unique place nested in a cozy/quaint neighborhood within minutes of downtown. Indoor space is limited but the porch outside and outdoor seating is great. Classic menu items made unique. I recommend the Elephant Gerald or a stack of cakes! The service can be a little slow so only eat if you're not pressed for time.

This place seems like it would be a nice place to have breakfast/lunch, but I wouldn't be able to tell you because we were met at the door by a server stating that there was a 45 min to an hour wait on a table. So I said could we sit at the bar then, he said that area is included in the wait. But the thing is as we walked in everyone we pasted by had coffee/food already and seated. There was an empty table outside when we walked up, an empty table inside, at least 5 chairs at the bar empty, and at least 5 chairs on the patio unoccupied, so I'm not sure why there would be a wait. Needless to say we are black, there wasn't one other black person in the restaurant(oh yea and it was only 3 of us. So there was plenty of room if you ask me. Don't recommend if you are of color.

Loved it! Food proportions were huge and tasty! Two people could share one plate. Service was fast and friendly! Atmosphere was fun! Very tiny place though, so be prepared to wait. If memory serves me correctly, there are only 4 tables and a bar which seats maybe 8. Wish I lived in Chattanooga, because I'd definitely go back!

OK, this place was found on a whim. I Googled "weird places to eat" and it was on the list. I'm glad we went looking for it. The place is quirky but fun. The staff fit the bill just as well, but the food! My omelet was huge and delicious. The pancakes are unbelievably thick. The prices are very reasonable, too. If I'm ever in town again, I'll definitely be back!
