Bob's is great. They have gone out of their way to keep two of my work vehicles on the road more than once. Service like that is hard to come by since we can't work without our trucks! Just yesterday they installed a radiator and front hub assembly and knocked it out same day as the problems were found so that we could get back on the road.  Two weeks ago we busted an exhaust pipe and also had something in the front end where the entire left side of the truck dropped to the tire. Fixed in a day and HONEST. Looking at the situation, I thought it was going to be an expensive ordeal but it turned out to be a minor part that simply wiggled its way out and caused the front end to drop. There may have been something more to it but the cost was obviously honest. They also had a flatbed there to pick my truck up within a half hour of calling. Awesome service and honesty sums up these guys.

BOB NOLANS AUTO SERVICE has been on Rt. 13 Bristol pike in Bensalem for as long as I can remember and grew up in Bensalem township. Its funny how I ended up going to every other local shop instead of checking out NOLANS.  Especially when he had a big sign out front stating that they were an authorised NAPPA  parts shop.  Anyway,  after dealing with another local shop for almost 20 yrs. I got tired of having almost the same cost every time i went to them no matter what I was there for. Don't get me wrong,  They were a good shop with quality mechanics but they were almost too by the book. 
For instance,  I needed a front end alignment on a new hummer h2 that I had bought for a deal due to the alignment problem. The front tires were pulling inward at the bottom causing them to wear on the outside edges badly.  My old shop handed me a detailed plan on what needed to be done and after paying the $1500 , it would be good to go.  It is then I decided to try out BOB NOLANS. Partially because one of my son's was friends  with the son of one of the mechanics that worked there and also because of how long they had been in business at this location. So,  I  brought my hummer h2 over to them, handed them the same estimate that my old shop gave me and asked what they could do and for how much $.  They showed me that yes, I needed all the items that my old shop had estimated and that the cost was not to far off of what they woud have had to charge mostly because of the Labor involved. But then they told me that not all of those things were needed to pass inspection and not all of those things were needed to correct the front end problem. Things Like.... new "bump stops"...they were worn out and dry rotted but on a hummer h2, they would only come into play if I was rock climbing and bottomed out real hard coming off a hill because a my hummer is almost 16" off the ground at the step rails  ... even higher where the "bump stops" are  .. anyway there were several other things that were items that could do with replacing but would neither fix my original issue or make my truck any safer or effect my inspection. So .... I gave em the go ahead and for
 $450 for the front end repair and inspection (+ another $280 I think it was )because ,of course  (when it rains it pours)  my windshield wiper green board went haywire and left my wipers running with no way to shut them off (when I dropped it off at the shop)  had to be replaced and oh yeah,  they bought me a new "lug nut unlocking tool" because the one that came with the truck was the wrong one. I don't think they even charged me for that. Anyways,  I get a call the next morning to come get my truck. She is all  fixed and ready to go.  I show up at the shop and they decided to let me come take a look at what they did while my hummer is still on the lift. (That part really blew my mind! ) how often am  I gonna  get a chance to get a good look under my h2 hummer. I mean,  this thing is a beast of a truck  and u can't just lift it with a car jack and take a peak. So,  I was really excited to see that. So they brought me into their shop.  In 20 yrs of dealing with my other shop I've never seen the inside of their service bays. So I think that was really cool that one of  NOLANS  mechanics. .  " Tom Diamond"..... (shout out)   
Let me get a look and explained to me what he did and why and also he showed me what my other shop  wanted to replaced any why but he saved me the cost and told me i could get them things fixed at a later date when ive got cash to do it.  This was about 2 yrs,ago and I just got my hummer inspected there yesterday so,  needless to say, they got my businesses for good. Yesterday, i dropped off my truck at 8 am. and it was done by 12 noon. No surprises,  no extras,  just great quality service!  So if your looking for a place or your just tired of settling for the same old story... check out Bob NOLANS. There is an obvious reason why they have been in business at that same location for so many years... Its what I call integrity and good work ethics ! Thanks guys!
