Honestly a nightmare. Don’t waste your time. This will be a novel. I have a nail in my tire and need it plugged. I was an hour & a half from their closing time so I called to see if they could do it - someone picks up says “can you hold” and before I even respond puts me on hold. 10 minutes later & no response back on the line I hung up and drove there. I pull up to the lane that literally says speed service with another sign next to it that says tire repair. The person who clearly was working the front desk and someone from the shop are revving a motorcycle in the general parking lot and laughing for a solid 5 minutes while I sit there. Finally he comes over and just looks at me so I say I have a nail in my tire and was wondering if they could plug it. Tells me I have to go inside and ask his boss. I go inside where the same front desk guy from the parking lot asks me what I need and tells me to go to the service desk. Meanwhile a girl who is also behind the front desk thought something about this was amusing because she’s laughing at this point. I ask the guy at the service desk if they can plug the tire and he says no come back at 8 am tomorrow. Fine. I ask him where calls to their store are received. He tells me the front desk. I said okay because before I drove all the way here I did call & was put on hold for 10 minutes until I hung up because no one ever picked the phone up. His response “oh I don’t know that would’ve been one of them” as he points to the front desk. Then I said okay, I also sat out back for 5 minutes while your front desk and the guy in back revved a motorcycle & talked in the parking lot. “Oh yeah, sorry about that”. Not even the fact that the place was empty, had another hour+ on the clock and couldn’t do it but the absolute lack of customer service and general manners was embarrassing. I’ll get my tire plugged elsewhere tomorrow morning.

So I walked in a few days ago my car had been driving erratically. I met with one of the Service Advisors, Chris was his name. I came in pretty late, at about 6:20pm, but I had hoped that he would be able to help me out. He could see that I was visibly upset but he reassured me everything was fine. He saw me as a person and not just a piggy bank. Long story short, I was able to get an amazing deal on 4 tires as well as an alignment and brakes and rotors! I was gonna spend a fortune but he let me know about the rebates that was actively going on for brake pads as well as the tire specials that was going on. The mechanic that was doing the job itself was a very lovely individual, Edward or Eddie I think his name was. He was showing me what was wrong with the vehicle in regards to what I was getting done and was very compassionate and gave me recommendations for what I should get done next. I would gladly go back for anything my car needs. These 2 individuals as well as the assistant service manager there Freddy, I believe his name was, made the process so much easier and all in all they had an amazing positive energy among them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

They usually have what you want. My beef with pep Boys is when you walk in the store go to the parts counter, one says closed, so you scoot over to the next one and wait like a moron. No one offers to help and all turn their back like they don't see you. After 5 minutes of waiting you walk up to the register and wait in line 10 minutes. When you get up to the cashier the phone rings and he/she spends the next 20 minutes trying to explain tires to a customer. They should have a sign at the parts department that says go to the cashier. You are better off calling up, order the part, give your name, then pickup and post at the register. Update 5/2/18, nothing has changed, walked in, waited at the register while employee was on the phone with a customer, other employees walking around, finally went back to parts area and interrupted a gentleman on the phone, he promptly helped me, went back to the register, employee still on the phone, 5 minutes later another employee came over and checked me out. There were three customers in the store at the time and Pep Boys could handle it? I'm done that was my last time at a Pep Boys. To the owner, save your breath, nothing has changed and it wont, if you truly want to make it right, train your employees to help folks as they come in and get them out the door as quick as possible, if 3 customers can bog down your store then something needs to change!!!

If you not getting a major repair done they basically refuse to service your car. My car needed a thermostat which is a simple fast and cheap repair and because I didn't want to replace the thermostat housing which my car did not need they refused my repair. So if you not spending money on stuff you don't need than don't expect them to want to fix your car.
