I'm a huge fan of the southern cuisine that Bonnie Blue prepared. We were there for the first time, and because of the inviting and convivial atmosphere, we really enjoyed our lunch there. Bonnie Blue is the place to go for delicious food served with a dash of Southern hospitality. The dishes had an excellent balance of flavor and were served promptly. This Southern Market & Bakery will not let you down! I mean, I wasn't let down by Bonnie Blue, so maybe you won't be either! Smoked to juicy perfection, the chicken, beef brisket, and pork were followed by a fantastic array of sweets. If you're in the mood for authentic southern food, you should definitely try it! The service, atmosphere, and meal were all excellent. Fun and kind employees made us feel quite at home, and the absence of any overt religious themes was a major plus. If you're looking for a barbecue joint where you won't be bothered by holy water or a man praying in the corner, look no farther than Bonnie Blue.
I almost never give out five stars. But this one is well deserved. What a great place for brunch or lunch. Fantastic food, great drinks and service that makes you feel good just sitting there. Atmosphere: 4.5 Food: 5 Service: 5+ Value: price for experience: 5
My partner and I recently did our first trip out to Winchester and had the absolute pleasure of stopping by Bonnie Blue for brunch. The service was incredibly friendly and engaging, the food was delicious and fast and the dessert... Oh the dessert! They offer a large selection of fresh baked pastries, cakes and other tempting treats.
My parents and I decided to have breakfast at Bonnie Blue on the way home after visiting Winchester. We had the most lovely time and our server Charlotte was such a delight to talk to. The other waitress working at the time sorry I didn't get her name! was also very friendly and welcoming. Between the three of us, we ordered the shrimp and grits, meat omelette and biscuits and gravy. Everything was made like we were sitting in grandma's kitchen, in the best way possible- tasty and very filling. We got some carrot cake and cookies for the drive home. Would come back again and recommend to anyone visiting the area
I came here with my husband for the first time. We were very excited because the reviews were great!! And they had breakfast food which was what we were looking for!! Everything was great up until we noticed dead bugs/spider web/ ants all over where we were sitting / in front of us we sat in front of the window, away from the kitchen It’s pretty small. Only fits around 4 tables under 4 ppl and a table for 6? Our server was very nice and attentive. She checked on us frequently. Food was delicious- I’d probably come back and maybe sit outside or get take out. I got hot cider, it was good but the mug was kind of dirty but it was fine, figured it spilled when being poured I got the eggs Benedict very good. I didn’t like the home fries though had a weird taste to it. Even ketchup didn’t help. My husband got the pulled pork & eggs and he ate all of it. He said that the potatoes tasted better after he mixed it together with his eggs and pulled pork Overall I think I would’ve given it 5 stars but the cleanliness was not there and seeing 3 ants walking around my plate freaked me out and I had to look at dead bugs in front of me while trying to enjoy my meal..
One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! We went in with a party of 8. We were accommodated quickly and the service was great! The pulled pork was melt-in-your mouth amazing. The bloody Mary’s were strong and tasty. Pretty much everyone finished their food including our picky kids! Super cool atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. One of our favorite meals in Winchester for sure!!
We literally just left lol and we ordered the steak and both were not cooked right and they forgot to put my daughter's meal in but got it out super fast. Every place makes mistakes but most don't wanna do anything as a way to make it right. They went above and beyond not only did they recook our steaks perfectly they gave all 5 of us free desert, didn't charge for my daughter's fried chicken meal and gave us the friend & family discount. Not only that we tried to buy a Apple Cider on the way to leave and they just let us have it. I've never seen a place so so much to make it better. The deserts were amazing, it all was. The manager was the sweetest and our server was great especially for being new. I can't recommend this place enough for the polite way they handled it. We'll definitely be back
Amazing. I got the Crab cake and Eggs, which . My biggest complaint about crab cakes is that they tend to be so bready that you hardly notice the crab. This is NOT the case. It was CRAB and i LOVED it. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned so well that I would've just eaten them alone and would have still been happy. The service was great. I also got the lemon curd which is a must if you're a lemon bar fan. Great food. Great people. You should go!
Been here nearly dozen times over the years. Usually get the fried oysters and really like the cornmeal breading they are fried in. No other place in Winchester for good oysters. Better, usually bigger, when in season r months, but still flavorful in summer. Generous portion! Good value for the price. Good sides, 2 served with platter and piece of cornbread included. Have tried mac & cheese, potato salad, seasoned fries, and greens Seasoned with some pulled pork pieces, really adds flavor to the greens! Don't care too much for their cole slaw. Pulled pork platter ok. Jordan Springs Market much better for pulled pork. Beef brisket here better though.
Picked this place up driving on I-81 and looking for an outdoor sit down restaurant. A fabulous experience with Harrison as our server. Great shrimp and grits and Pullman toast. Wonderful meaty omelet. We got a sample of their beef brisket. Yummy. Added to the list between Philly and Lexington
