Stopped in Winchester VA on the way back from visiting family and had some amazing food. These house made hush puppies were awesome. The honey butter not shown served with the puppies were simply delectable. Also had to try their fried green tomatoes. The special of the day was bacon and cheese quiche with side salad. My eyes were bigger than my stomach so most of this came home but totally worth it. Their wine and beer wall is very cool too. I ended up buying a few bottles from off the wall. They also have some vintage artwork on the walls.
First time here and we plan to go back. I had the berry salad with chicken and it was great. The mixed greens were fresh and a good mixture of green and red lettuce, blue berries, strawberries, and candied pecans. My wife had the quiche of the day and she really liked it. The waitress was very nice and attentive. My tea cup was always refilled in time. The place was also very busy for lunch, so the locals also like it. It had a fun atmosphere.
It was a beautiful day for a road trip to Winchester, VA. We were looking forward to enjoying lunch outside in the November sunshine. Our first choice didn't pan out and we then stopped at Water Street Kitchen - which should have been our first choice all along! We enjoyed our lunch on the Walking Mall and did a little people watching. Our lunches were very good except I forgot to request lightly toasted on my Ruben, the fries were hot and plentiful. Our server was great! The receipt says Sizzler 18. He took very good care of us. My daughter enjoyed the Chicken Caesar wrap. Not the least expensive lunch we've ever had but we enjoyed our Water Street Kitchen experience.
Got brunch with Mom. This restaurant is in a really cute area of Old Town Winchester, so you have to park on a street or a nearby garage and walk to the shopping area where the restaurant is located. There are lots of shops and its just a cool place to check out. Our experience was pretty good: Walk up patio seating and inside dining available. Alcoholic beverages available. Friendly staff. Quick service. Decent price. 2 single serving restrooms available inside. Mom and I both got the Pick Three Meal, which is your choice of 3 sides, and it includes a corn bread. There were plenty of sides to choose from. I got a Belgian waffle, shoestring fries, and bacon. Mom got Belgian waffle, eggs, and sausage patties. The meal is $13, and add $1 for the waffle, so $14. The food all around was good stuff. The waffles were odd because they had like small sugar bursts cooked inside of them, which made them too sweet for me and mom. But, all together, really nice experience. Sorry I didn't take pics of the whole menu.
Stopped in Winchester VA on our way to New York. Had a lovely dinner at a cozy restaurant in Old Town. It was a small dining area with a lot of attentive staff. Tons of wine and beer lined the walls around the room. The pimento cheese deviled eggs were tasty but even better with boom boom sauce on them. My Rachel sandwich was dripping with thousand island sauce and coleslaw. It was delicious. The Philly cheesesteak was seasoned well with melty cheese. Great place to stop if in the area.
Such a fun spot! We went for lunch on a Saturday. It's a busy place so plan accordingly. Parking could be a challenge due to its downtown location but the short walk would be worth it! The restroom was clean and well stocked. The food was delicious and the atmosphere casual and comfortable. Look forward to returning!Food: 5/5
Water Street Kitchen was the cherry on top of our sweet discovery of old town Winchester on our first visit there. I had Lucy's double bacon cheeseburger and it was fantastic. Patty's were pressed to be less juicy, but not dry. I got all the flavor without all the mess. That was an excellent burger. The Mixed Berry Salad was fantastic, and the selection of sodas was amazing. Everything being served at the neighboring tables looked amazing. I'll bet you can't go wrong at this charming eatery.
Atmosphere was amazing, you’re overwhelmed by all the alcohol selections; which was a good thing. Service is friendly, menu is simple, food is delicious, and again the alcohol selection!!!! Clean place, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Great spot tucked away in old town. Highly recommended
What a cool restaurant! Got there just before the noon rush hit. Really casual and bustling vibe. Food was yummy and fresh, wait staff was fun, fast and friendly. Great experience
Yum! Yum! Yum! This little jewel should be a must. Outdoor seating, delicious food and cheerful service! Perfect for an afternoon or evening setting. You should definitely check it out. Did I mention the bloody Mary's??? Features: Just enjoyed seating outdoors
