I have been purchasing small items at Booth's furniture for 25 years. With my parents before me. My wife even bought out Christmas stockings there this year. My wife and I are in the middle of redecorating our little house. We were browsing in the store right before New Year. We found a chair on sale, last one floor model. Although we weren't ready for furniture just yet, my wife gell in love with this recliner so we went back to buy it. It was approximately 1800.$ Half price. However, when we went back to purchase it, the chair was no longer in the same spot in the showroom. We were told it was sold. We found the chair on the other side of the room. When we inquired about it, we were told that indeed it was the same chair. But it was priced at 2600$ and change. We were told that it was never on sale for lower than that price. The sales woman kept insisting that the higher price had always been the price and that it was an excellent price. That maybe we should look upstairs at their lower priced items or maybe we got the chair mixed up from another store. Impossible as we have not looked in any other store. Also we noticed that the tags have been changed on other furniture pieces. We found the experience insulting. We were prepared to furnish our whole house at Booth's furniture. As we feel that they cannot be trusted. Do not tell the truth. We will no longer even consider making any purchases there no matter how big or small. We have a grown daughter. They will be losing genarations of sales

I worked with a designer to redecorate and refurnish my dining room.I was so excited to finally do this as I had waited for my three boys to grow up and not need the dining room as their homework room! I chose a round table that I made very clear needed to fit six comfortably. The designer assured me that the table we chose would be fine. When the table got delivered my husband and I discovered that it was way too small. The chairs that the designer had me choose are a bit large. But again, she assured me that it would work. It didn't. Long story short, Walter let me know that I would have to pay a restocking fee- even though I worked with a designer- because I didn't think it worked. So, I wound up having to order a glass table topper 10" larger than the table (an additional $800 had not budgeted for!). It looks horrible. Each time I pass the dining room I just get so angry and sad. This is not the dining room I had dreamed of all these years. I am in the process of ordering table cloths to just cover up the entire mess. I really wanted a beautiful wood table- and I have one. It is just hidden under a plate of glass and soon, a table cloth. I would not recommend Booth Furniture for this reason. I feel as though I should have been allowed to return the table and purchase a larger size since that is really what the designer should have recommended that I do in the first place. Well, they made the sale but lost a customer. And, I am sharing my story!
