Bop Shop Records is a unique, independently owned record store in Rochester, New York, specializing in blues, jazz, rock, classical and American roots music -- styles like soul, rockabilly, surf rock and doo-wop and folk, plus Celtic and English folk. There is a huge selection of new, used and vintage vinyl LP's and 45's, and CDs. Bop Shop Records is owned and operated by Tom Kohn, who has made the Bop Shop a success for more than 30 years by sticking to the principles he started out with. He's a music fan and record collector and his employees are, too.

Best record store in Rochester in my opinion. 
Well organized, lots of selection, great staff, and fair pricing.
Love this place and looking forward to coming back whenever I am in Rochester.

Tom knows music, and has a huge catalog of vinyl that is in good to great condition in all genres. I'm esoteric in my tastes, and he has always been able to fulfill my requests.

Just discovered this great store this week for the first time while visiting from Canada. Great selection of used vinyl! Staff was friendly and responsive to questions and requests. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Rochester.

Always a pleasure. Welcoming staff. Big selection vinyl and a smaller selection of new and used cds. In-house concerts also.
