Story

Record Archive has been a music & entertainment destination in Rochester since 1975. Specializing in vintage vinyl, our expansive store also includes all of the latest music releases as well as unique gifts & toys, vintage clothing & furniture, t-shirts, souvenirs, 1000’s of movies, audio equipment, two live music stages, local beer, event space, and much more!

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable and quick with a joke. It's a great environment. Make sure you have plenty of time to spare when you visit, you could easily spend hours there. A magical place for enthusiasts of any kind; whether you love music or movies, toys or trinkets.

Love this place. Friendly, helpful staff, always willing g to help with whatever inquiry. prices are awesome on the used vinyl....My Husband and I always find $3.00-$5.00gems.

This place is unique and interesting. Amazing very large selection of albums, cd's. Great novelties and much to offer. They have a nice Lounge/Bar area that is open at times, and entertainment to enjoy. Check with them, to find when Lounge/Bar area, is open and what entertainment features are happening.

Such a cool location! Go check it out if you live music! It has a very traditional vibe so you don't have to worry about it being too new age. Basically can't go in there without finding what you're looking for. We walked out with about 10 albums!

This. Place. Is. Fun! Much more than records are contained here! The walls surrounding their musical stacks are lined with funny and quirky toys, knick-knacks, gags, and gifts! It is left-leaning in nature, but not at all overbearing, it's more a reflection of their youth demographic than anything. It has a little café and the whole place is full-up with eclectic, eccentric, decorating. Go here, it's great even if you don't have any music in mind, but if you do, they probably have it! (records and CD/DVD formats)
