The Bread Basket on East Brainerd Road is absolutely to die for! They use sour dough bread for almost everything, I believe they said, and cream cheese frosting. Everything is baked fresh daily and is so moist and fluffy. They even sell one day old items for half off! They make muffins, cakes, loafs, cookies and other goodies. The prices or great for the portion sizes, especially when you consider all the fresh ingredients that they use. Definitely a place to stop at!

Don't even think about buying the sourdough bread. It is usually stale, not sour and could barely be described as bread. I have heard it is actually poisonous. There, now people may stop buying it all before I can get to the store. In truth, their sourdough bread is one of the best foods I have ever put in my mouth. It goes beyond a simple food item for me. I cherish it. Savor it. I buy it for special occasions and for regular occasions alike. Yeah, their other items are affordable and tasty, but their sourdough is a religious experience. They have big loaves and small. The small one lasts me a few traffic lights as I devour it on the way home. The large loaf will last a day, maybe two if I do a good enough job hiding it at the house.

This is a wonderful place to buy sweets! I love stocking up on the cakes during the twice a year half price cake sale! They freeze great!

They have good products They have tasted when someone else brought them in but 3 times going into shop, never acknowldged. Walked out 3 times buying nothing. Not friendly.

I've never been disappointed going to Bread Basket. The ladies are friendly and welcoming, and the goodies always hit the spot. I only wish they were open a bit earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon, so I could pop in on either side of work!
