Yeah, I never thought I'd leave a review for somewhere that gives me shots everyweek, but they literally cured my allergies and the staff are very friendly.

I was impressed with the rehab center and all the employees in that area.Previously mom had been to the #1 facility in Bradenton rated #1 but I would definetely rate Briarwood rehab #1.There is no comparison to the courtesy and respect the patients are treated with by the staff.My mom's improvement has been remarkable.Previously no hope was given for her to get out of bed and now  she is able to take a few steps.The Doctors are very caring and on top of things when necesary.Also very caring.
As for the nursing home facility where mom was at in Briarwood in the other hall the first week the staff also very caring and corteous but I did noticed they are short staffed.Even with the pressure and conditions the attitude they had was great with maybe one exception.Mom has been in many rehabs and there is a great difference  in the attitudes of the workers at Briarwood to other facilities.I don't know what type of screening they do but they obviously ask the right questions when choosing the staff.The nurses are very dedicated and focused on their duties.
Now for the negative side...everything has a good side and bad.
THE FOOD IS BAD! Today mom called home to bring her coffee because they had no coffee..The portions are very small and never matches what is on the slip they give.Yesterday one of the patients was complaining of the small portion he was given and was still hungry.Another patient asked for a cup of black coffee.A friend made a run to the store and bought these gentlemen a hamburger and coffee.They also have no diabetic diet.This is crazy when at least 60 percent of patients are diabetic.
Well this is my review of mom being in Briarwood for 2 months.I would of given a 5 star but the food department doesn't cut it.My understanding is it is a contracted company and the sooner they can replace it would make a great difference.
I am so grateful to all the workers and staff and would like to thank them all.
