The Washtenaw County Health Department promotes health and works to prevent disease and injury for all in our community.

Story

Our mission is to assure, in partnership with the community, the conditions necessary for people to live healthy lives through prevention and protection programs. Washtenaw County Public Health (WCPH) plays a critical role in all of our lives and exists to provide our community with the tools, information, resources and opportunities to make positive health changes.

Notice of unacceptable content – Users and visitors to social media sites are notified that the intended purpose of these sites is to serve as a mechanism of communication between WCPH and the public or partner organizations.

WCPH reserves the right to remove any published content deemed inappropriate for its social media accounts, including but not limited to content that:
a. is abusive, obscene, indecent or offensive;
b. is defamatory, harassing or hateful;
c. is posted without the necessary rights, licenses and consent;
d. constitutes unauthorized advertising, solicitation or spam;
e. invades an individual’s or individuals’ privacy;
f. encourages conduct that may or would constitute a criminal offense or give rise to civil liability, or that otherwise violates any local, state, national or international law or regulation; or
g. is irrelevant, off topic or unrelated to other published content or WCPH programs and services.

WCPH will make a reasonable attempt to answer legitimate questions or concerns. Responses, however, may be provided or invited through a private message or other less public means of communication, depending on the nature of the inquiry.
